Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup sprinkles (use your team’s colors!)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the all-purpose flour evenly on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes. This process kills any potential bacteria in the raw flour, making it safe to eat. Let the flour cool completely before moving to the next step.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer on medium-high speed until the mixture is light, fluffy, and well-combined. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
  3. Turn the mixer to low speed and add the vanilla extract, salt, and milk. Continue to mix until the liquid is fully incorporated and the base is smooth.
  4. Slowly add the cooled, heat-treated flour into the bowl. Mix on low speed just until the white streaks of flour disappear. If the dough feels too crumbly, you can add an extra teaspoon of milk to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and the team-colored sprinkles. Stir by hand to ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the dough without breaking them.
  6. Line a tray with parchment paper. Use a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon to portion out the dough. Roll each portion between your palms to form a smooth ball. Place the bites on the tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
